    Homework

In Year Six, the Maths Shed task should be completed by each Thursday. A new challenge appears every Friday morning. The weekly maths task should take around half an hour to complete. All children have their own password.

Children should be accessing Reading Buddy every day and reading a book at the level set by their teacher. Children are asked to complete the quiz after they have finished reading each book. Children are asked to read for 20 minutes every day. All children have their own password.

Knowing times tables confidently is critical to accessing the maths curriculum in Y6. As a result, children are asked to play at least one game on Times Table Rock Stars every day. This should take around 10 minutes each day. All children have their own password.

Children are given 20 spellings to learn each week.  All children have their own password for Spelling Shed to help them to practise the weekly spellings. The test day is Thursday. The children are expected to score at least 15/20.

Children are given a piece of written grammar homework to complete each week either on the sheet provided or in their homework book.
