    Read through the powerpoint below: then write a non-chronological report about a subject that you are interested in. You must include all of the features of a non-chronological report and make sure that you write in the correct tense. It should be between 2 and 4 pages long. You can include diagrams and captions. It can be handwritten and handed into your teacher on the first day back to school and you can email it to your teacher:

    Reading

    Reading Competition

    Join the extreme reading challenge,  and take a photograph of yourself reading in an unusual way or in an unusual place. 

    The winners will receive a book. There will be an EYFS, KS1 and KS2 winner.

    Send in a photograph of yourself reading to Mrs. Brown (n.brown@stmryb20.bham.sch.uk). All photographs will be displayed on the reading board and in a slideshow during an assembly.

    Read every day for at least 20 minutes. you can read a real book of you can access a wide range of literature on Reading Buddy. Please record your reading in your yellow home reading record book. Bring it into school on the first day back. Write a 100-word summary about one book that you read over the Easter holidays. Remember to use sophisticated vocabulary and show that you can use a range of punctuation marks.
